Have you any wool?

A great day for sheep shearing! The weather could not have been better - thank you God! We had some local families and a recent King's College graduate for the event, and the sheep were very cooperative (though Missy gave us a bit of a hard time). They look fantastic in their new do’s and are much cooler now! Many thanks to our shearer Hoyt for coming all the way up from Pennsburg. He always does an excellent job for us. Four bags full!

John Murray helped create the sacrifice area.
After the shearing, Rambo was escorted to his new digs, a spacious "sacrifice areRambo's new run-ina” just above the pasture. He will be separated from the ewes now until November. We learned our lesson this year that winter lambs, while extremely cute, are way too much work! Many thanks to John Murray for helping with the fence. We are very proud of Farmer Larry for designing and building the new run-in.

Our sheep shearing was the subject of a recent Saint Joseph’s College Theology Blog

Planting begins the first week of June. Let us know if you would like to come and help out. Please keep us in your prayers as we embark on our third planting season!
